Loved the movie but fix that GD nail already. Pulling out a nail slowly shouldn't make that much noise.
How tf did that nail get there tho
The teaser trailer for the sequel is out already 😃
Cried SILENTLY, but a lot, when JK died.
yes hated the daughter
Maybe it's a function of being a father of three myself, but I found these parents and children to be smarter than most. I have a daughter who is an adolescent, and I can totally imagine her doing everything the girl in this movie does. This family wasn't perfect; they were HUMAN. And that's one of the things that makes this movie great.
I thought they had a form of echo location which was causing the feed back.
I love this movie
She screamed while giving birth after the fireworks went off, didn’t she?
She WAS screaming when she gave birth. She was just lucky the fireworks were ignited at the right time. And the daughter is left behind because she is deaf and wouldn't be able to know if she makes too much noise. It was for safety purposes.
@ 9:54 – The vocal clicks that they made was picked up by their sensitive ears like bat echo-location.
the end was like cut off, there is something missing . also there should have been more dialog; that would have given silent parts more depth, also the movie was way too short .
They click that’s what blind things do to navigate through enclosed spaces. The clicking bounces of objects and maps the area
She screamed real hard when she was having the baby. That's why they used fireworks… I think you missed that? Idk. Best movie of the year IMO! On my top 1 😀
Why wasn't the daughter allowed downstairs?
Omg she's insane lmao she wanted the parents to blame their teenager daughter for the death of her brother omg that's some fucked up shit like… I'm scared for any child Grace might have in the future now
The son was responsible for the fathers death because he screamed dad
Grace you’re such a savage about the children haha. Love it
ALso, Why are THEY BAREFOOT?? LOL. Shoes don't make that much noise. Their feet must look Horrible.
I know I'm 5+ months late for this but I have some things to say.
1. I don't get your criticism against the daughter. She acted like a normal daughter would in that situation I think. It gives the movie a bit more real-feeling. Also, she didn't figure out the hearing device caused the harm that late for reasons. First time when she was on the field, she didn't see the monster. It was behind her. How could she know? Second time she was in the car, hiding, looking away when she heard the high pitch noise. She didn't look at the father at that moment, she only looked up after she took it off, to see her father get killed 🙁 She couldn't figure it because she didn't see it as we, the audience did.
2. The mother did scream! It happened during the fireworks.
But I don't buy that the newborn did not scream when it came out… It's literally a sign of life when a newborn comes out to scream. I honestly don't understand how the newborn didn't make any noise.
I saw A lot of the Last of us in this movie so I'm not sure I would say the movie was unique. The creatures work like the Last Of us game's clickers that were drawn to sound. The tension used in those moments were mirrored in this movie. They even had a similar moment in the last of us game where the guardian of the little boy warned him not to take any toys when passing through a toy store and the girl even after hearing his speech took the toy any way and gave it to him behind his guardians back.
The movie was kind of a mash up of the last of us, the road with a little cloverfield. I definitely got a "the road" feel from the music score and how music was used.
Grace… did you even watch the movie.. you literally said the daughter took the batteries out but should've thrown them away or kept them to prevent the child's death but that was actually the Dad who did that etc
Agree with everything BUT she did make noise when giving birth. They have a shot of her about to make noise and it cut to the fireworks.
grace you are heartless
Grace the monsters used echolocation – that's why they were clicking the whole time
You didn't like the family???? Wow
A quiet World next?
Regan is deaf? How is that her fault?
Did Grace actually say it was the girl's fault for her brother's death and for her father's. Really!!! She was deaf and an innocent realistic person. It was nobodies fault for her brother's death except for him being to young to understand not to play with something that has sound and the father was the one responsible for his own death as he wanted to die to protect his kids and to show her that he has always loved her and that he would risk his life for her. I am glad you enjoyed the movie but you shouldn't blame her for something that wasn't her fault.
Grace is such a weirdo.
This movie is so sad Jesus Christ like dang
Love you Grace, but you're overthinking this.
Damn, Grace went hard into the kiddo. Lol
Just saw it, it was really nice. I didn't watch the spoiler review because I wanted to see it. I agree with you even in my country, it is not advisable for a child to walk behind you.
The nail was the final instrument to seal Jon's coffin.
SPOILER TALK !!!
she screamed during delivery… the fireworks covered her sounds
While watching this film (that I thoroughly enjoyed btw), I mind couldn't help but think that I had seen this concept before in which it was done far better. Where else had I seen blind monsters that used their acute sense of hearing to hunt down humans? And then it hit me… The Descent. In my opinion, the descent had the advantage of being in an enclosed space from which our main characters could not escape, as well as the terrain being completely unfamiliar to the characters. Nevertheless, A Quiet Place is a great piece of horror suspense filmmaking!
Maybe it she bit the cord off
There was no gender gap it was cause she was deaf
The girl is a teen!!!!!!! teen(I am actually one myself)=tantrums!!! They don't care if it's the apocalypse!!! I think the reaction was pure!!
she did make a sound when she gave birth……
So the way to eradicate the aliens is to have megaphones on feedback and meanwhile use crossbows with explosive tips to fuck them up.
You got to remember these are kids, and humans didn't evolve to be quiet, in-fact we are probably the most noisy species that has ever lived. That is what makes this scenario so great. Heck anyone reading this can think a of at least a few idiots in their family that make you wonder if they have a brain.
10:20 they make clicking sound like dolphins; that's how they avoid objects (sonar)
She screamed right when the rocket went off and that’s when she had it
