“This is the way we were: In our growing up and in our
marrying and in our living and in our dying.”
Madison Repertory Theatre welcomes audiences to the first production in our new permanent home, The Playhouse at the Overture Center for the Arts, with a modern interpretation of an American classic. What does it mean to say Madison is Our Town? What are the values we use to define how we live, day by day, in this new century full of possibility? Artistic Director Richard Corley continues his exploration of great American drama with this classic, written by Madison native Thornton Wilder. The play will feature Tony Award nominee André De Shields as Stage Manager, performing side by side with local actors to give us a new perspective on “our town.”
