Enjoy this compilation video of British Kids TV shows which aired during the 90’s and the early part of the 00’s. Which was pretty much my era of kids TV and what my blog site focus’s on. Hopefully there’s some great memories for you here in this 35 minute video. All of the programmes featured aired on either CBBC, CITV or Milkshake.

The clips range from well known shows to some forgotten obscure gems. I just sat down and wrote as many shows as I could remember and did a bit of online research too. I’ve tried to include as big a range as possible without the video going on for too long (To be honest, it was originally meant to be 25 minutes long, ooops!). So if there’s a show you liked/remember that isn’t included. Sorry, I did my best!

Also, a big thanks to the Youtubers out there that shared these clips of classic kids telly in the first place. Without people like them, the memories wouldn’t be kept alive!

Also, I’d like to pay tribute to some of the people who were involved in these wonderful programmes. Who are no longer with us.

Mark Speight (Scratchy & Co/SMart)
John Cunliffe (Postman Pat/Rosie and Jim)
Ken Barrie (Postman Pat)
Pat Hutchins (Titch/Rosie and Jim)
Andy Cunningham (Bodger and Badger)
Barry Chuckle (Chucklevision)
Jimmy Patton (Chucklevision)
Bob Hoskins (The Forgotten Toys)
Gordon Firth (Writer of The Rottentrolls/Ripley and Scuff)
Simon Shelton (Tinky Winky – Teletubbies)
Andrew Sachs (Williams Wish Wellingtons)

This video made me realise one of two things. I’ve either got a great memory or I watched too much TV as a kid.

Why’s the Animals of Farthing Woods on here? Thought this was only supposed to be children’s programmes.

30:35 Ah, ‘Finger Tips’. I remember buying a bunch of sweets, glue, paint, and holding onto card, shoe boxes, cereal boxes, lollipop sticks, bottles and more, just to try and make some of the stuff off of this show, but I NEVER managed to make anything. There was a Halloween project they made which was filled with sweets, but had a Halloween twist. You’d put your hand inside a box to grab some of the sweets, and it was filled with plastic creepy crawlies. I had visions of making it and having this insane Halloween party, but it just never came to fruition. I also remember another thing they made, which had a bunch neat compartments for storing away your sweets. I can still appreciate those things, but looking back, it all seems like it would have been such a waste of time and effort, but it seems so spectacular to you when you’re a kid.

7:41 Yes! I was 6 minutes into this video thinking, “They better have ‘Mike & Angelo’ on here”, then was buzzing when it came on. I still love the theme tune, and the show was one of my favourites as a kid. There’s a bunch of shows I’m missing out, as well.

Brilliant video here thank you so much for uploading these podcasts Jack I really enjoy them.

As you are doing interviews with the people responsible for making the children's television shows which we enjoyed watching during our childhood I was wondering would it be possible to do an interview with Ragdoll Productions very own Anne Wood about her experiences of making our childhood favourite children’s TV shows.

I’ve been trying to find this show that I used to watch on cbbc who I’ve been watching lots of these vids and searching stuff but I’ve never been able to find.
And the only information I can remember is that there was a girl in the show who was white and her name was Luna and she had like these powers
And there was a mixed race boy who was trying to…like make all of his friends or something go to save something the show was like an adventure journey thing and it was so good sooo… if anyone remember plz help me cuz this is just a scratch in the brain 😄

I'm trying to find a programme me and my sister used to watch in the late 80/early 90s
It had a planet with a gummy bear type bear on a star flying through the galaxy, it was cute like gummy bears but in space? Anyone got any ideas? I haven't seen it on any of these either

When you realise 'Zap' was made so hearing impaired/deaf children could have a fun kids show to watch, since they were too young to read subtitles fast enough. Hence why it has no speech, and is entiely visual, bright and colourful.

As an 80s/90s kid there's a lot of these I don't recognise because they came out after my time, but some of them were quite long running shows.

I remember How2 but that's not the intro I remember. Also, the original intro of Knightmare was far better. 😉
