In this episode of Combo’s I share the 3 things I learned shooting with a Sony A5000 and a 7Artisans 35mm 1.2 lens. Combo’s is a video series where I use gear as a reason to talk about the process of making photos vs using photography as an excuse to talk about gear. In this photo and broll packed episode I talk about how often times we overlook the gear we have because we buy into the idea of upgrading. I show you what kind of street photography I was able to make with a camera and lens that I hated using in the beginning and I explain how I grew to love it. For the sake of clarity, I’m in no way saying anyone should buy and use this particuliar combo. Rather I’d prefer to encourage you to use whatever “combos” you already have available to you. It could be a film camera with a fixed lens, or an old dslr with your favorite lens or even your iphone. You may find that your photography improve drastically. If you have any questions on how to use your specific combo in a better way, reach out and ask me. I obviously don’t know everything but I’m happy to tell you what techniques I’d use if I were shooting with your combination. I want this channel to be about growing as a community. I’m happy to share any ideas I have.

Anyways, thank you for watching. I’m gonna post a couple of links to previous videos that i’ve made. I’m new to the youtube game so with every episode I get a little better but that being said, I do believe I have some value to offer in this and my previous videos. Enjoy your week or weekend and thanks again for watching.

🏆Ahh pls tell me I don't have much money, at most I can buy for now I need it an A5100 with at most a 160$ lens f1.4 or less, I NEED only to get all details in low light, like exact eye color like u see on mirror, real skin color all like real life, I need this, all this real life details, so can u tell me if any cheap lens saying F1.1-F1.4 for 160$ or 99$ or even 70$ would work? Pls and why are lenses of same aperture that cost over 600$-1000$ 👻 thanks

One of the best videos on photography I’ve watched. Years ago I had a NEX-5N & Voigtlander 35mm f/1.4 combo that was an absolute blast to shoot with. I just ordered a cheap used NEX-5T that I’ll be pairing with this little lens. Keep making videos!
