It's probably best to wait for the 2020 sets at this point, many of them will have HDMI 2.1.

Also, LG and Sony will have 120hz BFI on their OLEDS, and LG and Panasonic will have Dolby Vision IQ and filmmaker mode on their sets. Also, LG will have freesync support and 4k 120hz on HDMI 2.0 on the LG CX and BX. LG and Sony will also have 48" OLEDs which should be cheaper and better suited to be used as a PC monitor.

Upgraded my 2 year old 55" X900E to a Panasonic GZ1000 OLED and it's amazing how much better it looks. I thought the X900E was the pinnacle of picture quality, but oh boy was I wrong. I can't even stand looking at any LED tv now.

for 10 years I've had a 2008 Walmart 50 inch with my computer hooked to it getting 5 mbps download speed, watching mostly youtube in 360p, and a few ddays ago finally got rid of AT&T and got Grande with 300 mbps download speed, and I have finally been able to wathc videos in 1080p. I'm still in shock so I don't know if I could handle 4K right now, it would probably drive me over the edge.

Lots of these TVs should have requirements. i.e You need 20/20 vision no glasses to enjoy.
I love how every1 chases the best of the best scam like a drooling mut. Here is a shocker…. Most peoples eyesight is fucking shit. If your eyesite is crap, then u shouldnt concern urself with pixels or any of that.

You haven't taught me anything. I would never but a television at such elaborate prices. I would settle for a 43 or 49 inch due to my small space.

I heard that Sony, Panasonic, and others do use the LG or Samsung OLED panel?
Right now thinking on buying LG 4K 55 TV. For me when I choose with other brands was if it has all the apps I want.
YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon was a must for me. Just a couple of month ago in Japan LG did not have Hulu so I was looking into other brands but since now they have
it I will go with LG. Not many brands have all 4 I wanted.

Only 4k it's 8k time lol Happy New year.

The thing with HDR you need to make sure the TV can really handle it . I purchased a Hisense 43 which supposed to support HDR but using HDR ruins the viewing experience because it can't handle it very well.

0:35 "…even if you're sitting up close, it's impossible to see each pixel", but shows blurry picture of screen/sharp picture of bezel.
1:25 During the HDR segment, shows washed out, almost monochrome scenes.
